A little gem produced in France around 1830 comes back to light today in this splendid edition; the only one absolutely faithful to the original. The splendid book-shaped DELUXE BOX contains 78 CARDS, a BILINGUAL BOOKLET (Italian and English) with historical information edited by Giordano Berti and a LEAFLET with concise cartomancy instructions.
Around 1830 the French publisher Pellerin, in his factory in Epinal (Vosges department) produced a beautiful Tarot de Besançon engraved by a young but very talented artist, François Georgin (1801-1863). The cards were then painted manually, using a stencil, by other apprentices.
Subsequently, the Tarot Pellerin saw various reprints, all of very poor quality.
To the delight of all Tarot lovers, this little jewel of popular art comes back to light today in the splendid first edition of 1830, edited by Giordano Berti, known throughout the world as one of the greatest experts in the history and esotericism of the Tarot.
The Tarot Pellerin d’Epinal has been reprinted in a LIMITED EDITION of only 900 COPIES numbered and autographed by Maestro Giordano Berti on a GUARANTEE CERTIFICATE.
The same deck is available in two different boxes: DELUXE (book-shaped), or ART BOX , simpler but equally elegant. Both boxes are handmade by expert Italian craftsmen.
This is the DELUXE BOX, in the shape of a book (165 x 110 x 55 mm = 6.49 x 4.33 x 2.16 inches) created by designer Letizia Rivetti. Marbled paper covering; brass corners; velvet interior; closure with satin lace.
